As collaborative efforts all over the world are bringing about positive change, sabi's goal is to honor a unique nonprofit enterprise, along with hosting an established or unknown local artist. The Rissho Kosei Kai Dharma Center and Klint Schor were our first choices because of our belief in them and the great work they are doing. It was our great privilege to honor the Dharma Center and to host Klint in his first solo show.
Nonprofit Recipient: Dharma Center
Our purpose is to provide a place of meditation and spiritual growth through the study and practice of Buddhist principles. We seek to support each other and our community in the development of awareness, compassion and peace. Through increased awareness and learning how to live in the moment, we have the chance to gain wisdom and compassion for ourselves and others.
Because we are all connected, we practice responsibility in all aspects of our lives. When you cast a stone into the water, the ripples extend far beyond the original action.
Gather more information about the Rissho Kosei Kai Dharma Center at www.rkok-dharmacenter.org. We are located at 2745 NW 40th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.

I spent my summers at my grandparents' home in Meade, Kansas, an isolated little town in the southwestern part of the state, where my grandfather operated a landfill. This was always a magical place for me. Amid the debris and the organized piles of scrap metal, concrete, wood and other salvageable objects - all having the unique patina of age and wear - I learned to see beyond object and to see the material.
Sculpting is my form of communication - it is the place I go to feel strong and confident - there I have complete control over what I am working on.
